Sediksi.com – Circle Chart Music Awards 2023 (sebelumnya dikenal sebagai Gaon Chart Music Awards) telah mengungkapkan nominasi tahun ini! Tahun 2023 ini untuk pertama kalinya penghargaan Artist of the Year akan diberikan dalam empat kategori berbeda: Album, Digital, Streaming (Pendengar Unik), dan Streaming Global.
Seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya, penghargaan terutama akan ditentukan oleh penampilan komersial lagu dan album berdasarkan tangga lagu Circle. Mulai tahun lalu, data dari tangga lagu KPOP global yang baru diluncurkan juga disertakan.

Circle Chart Music Awards 2023 akan berlangsung pada 10 Januari 2024 di BEXCO Busan.
Tentang Circle Chart Music Awards
Setelah mengetahui nominasi Circle Chart Music Awards 2023, sebenarnya nama penghargaan musik ini awalnya bukan Circle Chart Music Awards melainkan The Gaon Chart Music Awards. Pada tanggal 7 Juli 2022, telah dipastikan bahwa chart tersebut akan fokus pada penjualan album secara domestik dan global, dengan data penjualan minggu pertama.
Circle Chart mengumpulkan data dari salinan album yang terjual secara internasional dan salinan album yang dijual di Korea Selatan. Untuk melakukan hal ini, Asosiasi Konten Musik Korea menandatangani kontrak dengan platform layanan musik seperti YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, dan Apple Music untuk pengumpulan data.
Karena meningkatnya permintaan terhadap KPOP di pasar global, acara penghargaan ini memutuskan untuk mempertimbangkan data tangga lagu KPOP global untuk para pemenang penghargaan utama, termasuk Artist of the Year, Digital Music, Rookie of the Year, Digital Music, dan World Rookie of the Year.
